Headquarters in Brisbane

Here is a photo of the house taken in 2003. Since then I have built a new garden over to the side so when the shrubs grow you won't be able to see the rubbish bins and blank brick wall.

We have spent the afternoon getting the Christmas lights up. The cascade lights hang down from the ceiling of the upper balcony and will twinkle. We will also put twinkling lights in the trees and gardens beds. I will post photos of the house in its Christmas fancy dress when the lights are all up and working.

Summer is Hot. Swimming is Cool.

Amanda is visiting from Melbourne with her two little girls, Isabella and Claudia. They are delightful girls. Isabella talks non-stop so Claudia, the younger one, lets her older sister do all the talking and just nods, shakes and grunts.

Today, David and Jill and Amanda and the girls went to Southbank parklands for a picnic. John and I and Rosemary and Greg joined them for the afternoon. Needless to say the girls loved the pools so I spent the afternoon wading around after them making sure they didn't drown.

Isabella is very adventurous and kept going towards the deep water so it took two of us to watch them. Luckily, Lyn ? (nee White) came along later with her son Tim and his wife Jay. They have a new baby girl, Ebony. How the generations grow and grow. Anyway, Lyn was able to watch Isabella while I managed to keep Claudia from drowning.

I was wearing shorts, but still managed to get them wet as the girls moved into the deeper water. Those who know me will know that I do not have very long legs, so it doesn't take much to get me out of my depth. As well as that, most of the children in the pools took great delight in creating a lot splash when they noticed I was not in a swin suit.
